Where are the trade winds mentioned in the Bible?

The trade winds were first discovered by a man who had the idea to look for them after reading his Bible. What verses in the Bible made him search for them? I can't remember the name of the man either. I just know that it is so. There are other verses that mention the fountains of the deep before scientists discovered them as well.
