How do you handle conflicts with a brother in Christ?

What ways are we supposed to handle conflicts with brothers (or sisters) in Christ when they are not repentant (never ask for your forgiveness or try to rectify any of the trouble that they have caused you)? Is it biblically okay to sever ties with such a person?
